Our foray into the field of cotton started in the year 1970, when we started cultivating the best quality cotton in our lands. As a part of our forward integration policy we set up a cotton-ginning factory in 1972. In 1986 the first unit of Durairaj Mills was set up with a capacity of 13440 Spindles and then further expanded by installing a modern 2nd unit in 1996 with a capacity of 12096 Spindles which meets international quality standards. This Unit is dedicated to the global market for supplying quality yarn.

Thus with our vast experience and technical know-how of cotton we can proudly say that cotton made us.
